The HFT Pipestoppers® Accu-Freeze™ system utilises liquid nitrogen (LN2) to freeze stationary liquids within a selected section of pipe or tubing. As the world's only patented, digitally controlled pipe freezing system, Accu-Freeze™ ensures precise and safe ice plug formation. By controlling the pipe's surface temperature, this system creates a reliable in-line ice plug capable of withstanding pressures up to 138 bar (2000 Psi) in pipes up to 12 inches (300 mm) in diameter.
The HFT Pipestoppers® Qwik-Freezer™ system uses liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) to freeze stationary water in selected pipe sections. This method generates extremely low 'dry ice' temperatures, forming a secure in-line ice plug. Both Accu-Freeze™ and Qwik-Freezer™ systems allow for temporary isolation of liquid in pipes, enabling easy repairs or modifications without draining or shutting down entire systems.
