Lightweight... but Strong and Highly Resistant Plugs

HFT® Pipestoppers® Inflatable Solid Rubber Pipe Plugs and Stoppers are constructed from thicker, stronger, special rubber and are available in a wide range of diameters. These plugs add to the existing range of inflatable, aluminium, nylon, and steel plugs and stoppers. The special rubber used in these plugs is highly resistant to higher pressure and petrochemical fluids and vapours.
Quick, Safe, and Effective Sealing
These Solid Rubber Inflatable Plugs inflate within seconds and are ideal for fast, reliable, and safe stopping and blocking pipes, joints, channels, inlets, and other uses. They are lightweight, easy to remove, and resistant to temperatures ranging from -40° to 70°C. They are also highly resistant to oils, hydrocarbons, and petrochemicals.
Multi-Size Flexible Pipe Test Plugs and Stoppers

These plugs can be installed at an angle, providing an effective seal inside the pipe. They are used for testing or sealing by air or water and are resistant to environmental conditions with a temperature range of -40 to 70ºC. Standard series plugs are available in diameters from 50 to 2,000 mm.

Yes, some models of rubber pipe plugs cover a size range, providing a cost-effective method of plugging for the customer—you only have to purchase one plug.
No, inflating the plug is very simple, using a standard quick disconnect fitting from the compressor to the plug.
Yes, we have rubber pipe plugs available that are fitted with a bypass arrangement in 1/2”, 1”, 2”, 3”, and 4” (13, 25, 50, 75, and 100 mm) diameter, depending on plug size. These are often used in conjunction with solid plugs for blocking, draining, or pressure testing. Multiple bypass arrangements are available.
Metal lugs are attached to the top of the rubber pipe plug, which can be used to connect wire or rope, making retrieval after use very easy. Note: All plugs must be braced before use.
No, as soon as the air line is disconnected, the plugs instantly deflate, taking only a matter of seconds.
