Your Questions Answered
The Argweld® PurgEye® 300 Nano uses a unique solid-state, long-life sensor, offering lower costs and high precision down to 10 ppm.
This monitor is primarily for welding high-quality joints in titanium, duplex, and other high-spec stainless steel to prevent coking, oxidation, and discolouration. It is ideal where the inlet for the monitor sensor can be connected to a constant flow of exhausting weld purge gas.
Most welding applications have an adequate flow of weld purge gas that can be exhausted over the measuring sensor. For applications where this flow rate is not available, HFT® also manufactures a Weld Purge Monitor® with a pump called the Argweld® PurgEye® 500.
The red tube is 40 cm long, and the green tube is 1 meter long.
Each instrument has shielding to prevent most forms of interference. Quality Control Tests and Inspection criteria are designed to account for as many variables as possible, making electrical interference extremely rare.
HFT® has calibration centres around the world. Contact us or your local distributor for pricing and arrangements. Calibration and certification are completed within a few days.
The Argweld® PurgEye® Weld Purge Monitors® should not be exposed to gas above 50°C (122°F). Contact us for information on exhaust purge gas cooling methods.
The PurgEye® monitors measure oxygen levels within any gas, not just inert gases. They can be used with argon, helium, nitrogen, and nitrogen/hydrogen mixes.
