Does the Argweld® PurgEye® Site have a pump?

Yes, it includes an integral electro-mechanical pump.

What sort of sensor is used in the Argweld® PurgEye® Site?

The PurgEye® Site uses a solid-state, long-life sensor with faster response times and greater stability than other monitors.

My company needs a calibration certificate for all instruments once a year. How do I obtain one?

HFT® has calibration facilities in the UK, USA, Singapore, and Norway. Contact us or your nearest distributor for details and pricing.

Is the Argweld® PurgEye® Site Weld Purge Monitor® sensitive to electrical disturbances?

Each instrument has shielding to prevent most forms of interference, ensuring reliable performance.

Can the Argweld® PurgEye® Site detect oxygen levels in pipes preheated to 300ĒŠC (572ĒŠF)?

The Argweld® PurgEye® Weld Purge Monitors® should not be exposed to gas above 50ĒŠC (122ĒŠF). Contact us for information on exhaust purge gas cooling methods.

How safe is the monitor if used in rain, dust storms, or if dropped from a height?

The case offers IP68 protection when sealed and IP65 when open. It is designed to be virtually indestructible.

Can Weld Purge Monitors® only be used when purging with argon?

The PurgEye® monitors measure oxygen levels within any gas, including inert gases like argon and helium and non-inert gases like nitrogen and nitrogen/hydrogen mixes.

What is PurgeNetĒâ?

PurgeNetĒâ controls welding power sources to switch on and off according to oxygen levels. It facilitates data transfer and connection to external devices for comprehensive monitoring and control.
