HFT® Pipestoppers® Inflatable Solid Rubber Plugs and Stoppers are made of a thicker, stronger, special rubber and have a large range of diameters. These Plugs are an addition to the existing range of inflatable, aluminium, nylon and steel plugs and stoppers. The special rubber is very resistant to higher pressure and petrochemical fluids and vapours.

These Solid Rubber Inflatable Plugs take only seconds to inflate and are ideal for fast, reliable and safe stopping and blocking of pipes, joints, channels, inlets and a number of other uses.

These lightweight, easy to remove Rubber Inflatable Plugs are resistant from -40° to 70°C and highly resistant to oils, hydrocarbons and petrochemicals.

Tough, durable, with a long life, they have quick disconnect fittings and can be used temporarily or for long term use. Each plug covers a range of sizes from 35 mm to 2000 mm (1.5" to 78") in diameter.

Also available in an Multi Size Flexible Pipe Test Plug range which can easily be installed through a side tap and at an angle.

The size range for the Inflatable Rubber Plugs is 35 mm to 2000 mm (1.5" to 78").

They Plugs are manufactured from high quality rubber, comprising a mix of styrene, butadiene and isoprene.

Temperature range from -40ºC to 70ºC.

These HFT Pipestoppers® Inflatable Rubber Plugs are highly resistant against oils, hyrdocarbons and petrochemicals.

Typical applications include:

• Blocking pipes, tubes, dams, inlets, storage tanks, manholes and channels.
• For use in water, sewage, fluid production (milk, beer, chemicals), petrochemical, pharmaceutical, gas pipeline systems.
• Restricting, diverting and bypassing flow during pipeline maintenance or modifiction.
• Keeping pipeline free of dirt and contaminants by capping and blocking the ends.
• Can be floated down pipes and stopped at a desired location by holding onto the inflation hose. 

Multi Size Flexible Pipe Test Plugs and Stoppers

These Multi Sized Plugs and Stoppers are also available and can be easily installed at an angle through the side tap to the main pipe, making an effective seal inside. They are used for testing or sealing by air or water.

Resistant to the environment, temperature range from -40 to 70ºC. Standard series of plugs can be made in a range of diameters from 50 to 2,000 mm.

Available in 1.5 to 2.5 bar options.  6 bar are available as specials in sizes below 24” (610 mm).

5.0 Does one plug cover a range of sizes?

Yes, some models of the rubber pipe plugs cover a size range which provides a cost effective method of plugging for the customer – you only have to purchase 1 plug.

6.0 Is the set-up complicated?

No, inflating the plug is very simple, just a standard quick disconnect fitting from compressor to plug.

7.0 Do the plugs have a by-pass arrangement?

Yes, we have rubber pipe plugs available that are fitted with a by-pass arrangement. These are often used in conjunction with the solid plugs for blocking and then draining or for pressure testing.

8.0 How do I retrieve the plug after installation?

Metal lugs are attached to the top of the rubber pipe plug which can be used to connect wire or rope so that retrieval after use is very easy.

9.0 Do they plugs take a long time to deflate after use?

No, as soon as the air line is disconnected the plugs instantly deflate, it takes a matter of seconds.
