HFT®’s Plugs and Stoppers range are designed and
manufactured for a variety of applications.
“One
of our inspection techniques requires the tubes to be flooded with water and we
use your HFT Pipestoppers® Plugs on
vertical exchanger tubes. They work really well.” Richard Granville from
Oceaneering.
The
Pipestoppers® Division Manufactures:
Lightweight
Nylon Plugs for cleanliness and orbital welding techniques in addition to
pharmaceutical and medical applications. Other applications for these
lightweight plugs include leak testing, sealing, isolation and weld purging.
Manufactured in sizes 0.5 up to 6” (12 – 150 mm), the Nylon Plugs are available
individually or in ready-made kits.
Heavy-duty
Aluminium Plugs for arduous duties such as exposure to high temperatures and
immersion in chemicals. They are manufactured in sizes 1.5 to 36” (38 - 900
mm).
Steel
Plugs are available up to 72" (1,800 mm) are also in double versions for
enhanced sealing. These very heavy-duty plugs are suited to applications such
as long immersion in water or exposure to higher temperatures, for which the
other plugs within the Pipestoppers® Range may not be suitable.
Inflatable Stoppers are manufactured in various shapes including Low Profile, Cylindrical and Spherical. There are PetroChem™ resistant versions and high-pressure Rubber Plugs as additional products. Inflatable Rubber Plugs can be used for pressure testing. They are available in 1 – 2.5 bar options, with 6 bar versions available in sizes below 24” (610 mm). The Inflatable Stoppers are designed for several applications including blocking pipes, tanks or other orifices, weld purging, routine maintenance or to prevent the entry of foreign bodies or vermin. The maximum hold back pressure for our low cost, nylon covered latex stoppers is 4 mbar and for higher pressures the Rubber Plugs are used.
Whether
your application is welding where there are numerous pipe ends to be blocked
for weld purging and to prevent draughts from adversely influencing the welding
activities, refuse sites for monitoring gas emissions, on-site machining
industry to prevent the ingress of machining fluid, machining swarf and
miscellaneous metal pieces from entering pipework and systems beyond, the
Pipestoppers® Division has the solution!
