Weld Purging Best Practices for the Nuclear Industry.
With the growth of Nuclear Power activities around the world, there will be a large volume of stainless steel pipework that will need to be welded.
The pipe joints will need to be started with a much higher weld purge quality than many operators are familiar with and those welds will need to be planned well in advance to consider the joining and purging methods.
Until now, weld purging has often been left to the last minute as a procedure that the operators deal with at the time.
This can lead to the use hastily home made devices that will bring contamination into the nuclear environment and difficulties in accessing spaces for satisfactory weld purging.

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited are running Weld Purging Training courses to introduce operators to the latest technology and teach them how to conduct their weld purging activities at the Nuclear Level.
Training Courses take one day and they can be held in the HFT training facilities around the world or at the operators' plants.
A syllabus will be provided on request.
