Their first match a few weeks ago was against Felinfoel, another local club with a strong Ladies side.
Burry Port Ladies won that first match and as a result, they were asked to play in the Varsity Final at the famous Parc Y Scarlets ground.
What an awesome feeling that must have been for the ladies walking out on that hallowed turf.
Burry Port went on to win against Trinity College Carmarthen Ladies.
Not a bad start for a new team.
