Burry Port RFC Clubman wins at Awards Evening

The annual WRU Dist G Awards Evening was held in Pontyates RFC on Friday 6 November and once again it proved a very successful and enjoyable evening. The guest speaker was Wales Forward Coach, Robin McBryde.

Dist G Clubman of the Year was awarded to Burry Port RFC's Nic Evans. Nic has been involved with Burry Port since the late 1950's. He has been the club's Captain, Chairman and was also one of the volunteers who helped build the current clubhouse in the 1960's.

Clubman of Year - Nic Evans - Burry Port

Now in his 70's, Nic is still the club's kit man. He sells the match programmes before the game and cleans the changing rooms afterwards. Nic is also the club's handyman and if any small job needs doing - Nic is there!

The photo above (l-r) shows WRU President, Dennis Gethin presenting Nic with his award.
