Weld Purge Monitors ® are an essential tool for the Process Industry, with various models serving different levels of weld purge requirement.
There are applications that can be satisfied with Purge Monitors measuring down to 100 ppm when welding stainless steel for example, however for higher specification industries such as the Aerospace, Food and Drinks, Semi-Conductor and Biofuels, there is a requirement for lower ppm levels to be achieved.
The PurgEye® 200 Purge Monitor has specifically been designed for the Process Industry, a hand held, battery driven monitor that will read down to 1 ppm (accurate to 10 ppm) and is available with an optional charging station. The monitor has an IP65 rating for its housing that is sealed against the ingress of dust and water.
The PurgEye® 200 Weld Purge Monitor is now equipped with PurgeNet™, a unique network connection that controls welding power sources such as orbital welders and any other automatic welding systems to switch on and off according to oxygen levels.
PurgeNet™ can be used with PurgeLog™ software to transfer weld purge data for quality control of welds. PurgeNet™ connects to other smart accessories for weld purging, including the Traffic Light System, which gives a visual warning during welding in case of rising of falling oxygen levels. PurgeNet™ is in fact a network that allows connection with a range of other accessories to be announced in the future.
The PurgEye® 200 has an OLED (organic light emitting diode) display, which will give bright, clear and sharp readings for viewing at distances and wide angles. These OLED displays are mainly symbol, rather than text based, making the menus internationally comprehensible.
This exceptionally advanced instrument is able to operate from rechargeable batteries or mains power. Along with loud, pre-settable audio alarms for rising or falling oxygen levels, the PurgEye® 200 comes complete with a faster response long life sensor and integral electro-mechanical pump to extract samples from a weld purge zone, in the event that there is insufficient flow rate or positive pressure to activate the sensor correctly.
