We’ve recently achieved a place in the 2017/2018 Fit for Nuclear Programme (F4N) in conjunction with the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre.
This means we are pre-qualified to do business with Tier 2 Contractors who are carrying out work at any of the UK Nuclear facilities (including of course Hinkley Point C).
Georgia Gascoyne, Managing Director for HFT® said: “We are one of only 50 Welsh Companies who have been awarded a place on the programme. It has taken almost 2 years to get this far as funding wasn’t in place for Welsh Businesses, so a fair amount of lobbying has gone on and finally the application process was opened a month ago. So, after a lot of form filling, we’ve got through! There is still quite a bit of work to do in regard to the process.”

As soon as more information is available, we will let you know.
What is the Fit for Nuclear Programme?
Fit For Nuclear (F4N) is a unique service to help UK manufacturing companies get ready to bid for work in the civil nuclear supply chain.
F4N lets companies measure their operations against the standards required to supply the nuclear industry – in new build, operations and decommissioning – and take the necessary steps to close any gaps.
F4N has been developed by the Nuclear AMRC with the support of its top tier partners, including nuclear new build developers and the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
F4N are currently working with stakeholders to further develop the programme and provide additional support to UK manufacturers. We are also holding a series of regional events to help even more companies enter the programme, and working with NOF Energy and the Energy Industries Council to help their members from across the energy sector to become Fit For Nuclear.
These industry leaders are using F4N to identify potential companies for their own supply chains.
