Weld Purge Monitors ® now with with PurgeNet ™

Weld Purging Experts Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT® have recently introduced PurgeNet ™ to their PurgEye® Family Range of Weld Purge Monitors® (oxygen analyzers) to meet the ever advancing world of Weld Purging Technology.

Five out of HFT®’s eight Weld Purge Monitors® are now available with PurgeNet ™, a networking connection for adding accessories that will control the welding system subject to oxygen levels.

One accessory takes total control of an automatic welding system, such as an orbital welder and can switch it on or turn it off according to the oxygen value thereby eliminating any risk of an oxidised or a discoloured weld.

Another accessory is a powerful light unit that gives a visual alarm as well as the audible alarm that is part of the purge monitor.

A dew point meter may be added to the network to ensure that the welding environment is free from water vapour as well as oxygen.

Finally at this time, there is the temperature monitor to ensure that oxygen levels stay low, while the welded metal temperature cools below its oxidation level.

The PurgEye ® Family Range comprises:

• PurgEye ® 100, low cost, hand held IP65 rated monitor which reads down to 100 ppm, ideal for welding stainless steel.
• PurgEye ® 200, with PurgeNet ™, hand held, rechargeable battery driven monitor, which reads down to 1 ppm (accurate to 10 ppm).
• PurgEye ® Nano, low cost, mains power driven monitor, reading down to 1 ppm (accurate to 10 ppm).
• PurgEye ® 300 Plus, with PurgeNet ™, lightweight monitor, which comes with software for recording purging results.
• PurgEye ® Desk, with PurgeNet ™, uses an internal electro-mechanical pump to draw the gas across the sensor and includes a long life sensor with virtually no maintenance required. Ideal for use with Welding Chambers and Enclosures.
• PurgEye ® 600 touch screen model, measuring from atmospheric level down to 1 ppm and includes data capture via USB using PurgeLog™ software.
• PurgEye ® 1000, with PurgeNet™, can measure oxygen levels up to 1,000 metres away from the weld.
• PurgEye® Site, with PurgeNet™, virtually non-destructive Monitor for on-site welding conditions, reading down to 1 ppm (accurate to 10 ppm).
