On Saturday 12 September 2015 a charity match was played at Burry Port RFC against Neath Legends.
Some big names played against Burry Port in their first fundraising match of the season, which includes ex international players Nathan Brew and Pat Horgan.
A fantastic £915 was raised on the day, which will go to Burry Port RFC’s chosen charity this season, The Peony Suite Breast Care Unit at Prince Phillip Hospital in Llanelli. This charity is close to everyone’s hearts, with a lot of families having been affected by the disease.

A lot of exciting events have been held at the club lately, including a GCSE examination results party for the younger local community where approximately 150 attended a disco in August. The local police inspector visited and commended the club on how well the event was run with all safety measures in place.
