Burry Port RFC is very proud to announce Kirby Myhill as new Head Coach for their youth section. Kirby started his playing career at Burry Port Juniors and has since gone on to play professional rugby for Llanelli RFC and the Scarlet’s. He was also a prominent player and captain of the Wales under 20 team. Burry Port RFC is sure that he will soon receive his senior accolade with the international squad.
Burry Port RFC is pleased that Kirby has agreed to take up the role as they feel this is another important piece of the jigsaw filled. They have a thriving junior section and it is really important that they, as a club have the incentive to keep their 16 year olds at the club and then proceed to their first XV. Another example of how they are trying to raise the integrity of the club, making it an attractive place for players to come and play.
Kirby will be appointing his own assistant coaches and will be working closely with Team Manager Mr Chris Hand and Director of Rugby Mr Gareth Gravell to integrate their youth with the first XV.
The club is truly blessed to have two head coaches who have played and in Kirby’s case still playing at the highest level both nationally and internationally. Come on the blacks!
