Ergonomic, Flexible, Clear and Custom-Made Specials!

The Argweld® range of Flexible Welding Enclosures® has been designed for applications where a rigid chamber may not be economically viable or where space may be at a premium. These low-cost enclosures are suitable for welding titanium, zirconium, and other reactive metals and for WAAM Additive Manufacturing.
Applications for Argweld® Flexible Weld Purging Enclosures® Standard and Custom Made
Industries

Aerospace, medical, sports vehicle, petrochemical, nuclear, pipeline, additive manufacturing (WAAM), electronics, chemical industry, etc.

It is used for welding

titanium and nickel alloy components, stainless steel components, additive manufacturing processes, and more.

Key Features and Benefits
  • Designed and manufactured to suit all applications, including aerospace, medical, and racing car industries, as well as the welding of stainless steel components to eliminate expensive cleaning of discolouration.

Any shape and size can be custom-made to suit specific requirements.

  • Provides high-quality welds at a low cost, making them ideal for small production quantities and where the cost of a rigid chamber would be impractical.

Your Questions Answered
They are used successfully worldwide, including by Rolls-Royce and other major companies.
TIG welding typically does not produce sparks. Hot metal should not touch the plastic; a metal skirt is placed inside the enclosure to protect it.
The enclosures are shipped internationally so users can manufacture their own metalwork according to the provided instructions.
The enclosures can be collapsed around the parts to be welded, minimising purge volume and time.
Standard enclosures can only accept parts that fit through the specified zip lengths. Custom sizes and designs are available.
Continuous inert gas flow is required until welding is complete.
Yes, the valve is designed to vent gases as the enclosure inflates and when sleeves are used.
Reduce the purge rate to 2-5 litres per minute to avoid over-inflation.
Use an Argweld® Weld Purge Monitor® with a gas sampling port provided at the top of the enclosure.

Cables can be passed through the service panel's tubular glands with sealing membranes around them.

Use the entry/exit sleeve, which can be purged independently to transfer small parts without disturbing the purge environment.
A repair kit containing PVC material and adhesive is included.
Ensure all parts are clean and free from contaminants before welding. Use a scrap piece of titanium to absorb residual traces of oxygen and hydrogen.
